Notre Dame beats Duke after a 20-4 run.

Although the game between Duke and Notre Dame was a very back and forth game, with Duke having a ten point lead at one point before Notre Dame went on a 20-4 run to help them win 79-77. The Fighting Irish were led by Eric Atkins, who had 19 points, and Pat Connaughton, who scored 16.

UK beats Louisville without the help of Julius Randle

On December 28, 2013, the UK Wildcats played the Louisville Cardinals. The Wildcats were up against the 2012-13 champions of the entire country, which would have been enough of a challenge if one of UK's best players, Julius Randle, wasn't confined to the sidelines for almost the entire second half due to cramps. The Wildcats pulled it off, though, and Louisville left Lexington with a 7 point (73-66) loss to their Kentucky rivals.

Jim Boeheim loses his temper and the game against Duke

Recently, in a down-to-the-wire game between Duke and Syracuse, the head coach of Syracuse, Jim Boeheim, was ejected after getting two technical fouls in a row for arguing the same call. The two schools were tied at 26 at halftime and with 10 seconds left, Syracuse was still only down by two. CJ Fair drove baseline for a layup to tie the game, but was called for an offensive foul. Boeheim lost his temper with the referee and got the two calls, which resulted in Duke getting four foul shots. Syracuse lost 66-60.

Syracuse beats Notre Dame after losing a 31-18 halftime lead

One game into being the number one basketball team in the country, Syracuse barely maintained control of their 61-55 win over Notre Dame. After being down by 13 at halftime, Notre Dame brought it back to a three point game with about eight minutes remaining in the second half. Syracuse was lead by Trevor Cooney, who scored his career high thirty-three points to give the Orange their twenty-second season win.

Arkansas beats UK in overtime with crazy put back dunk


This game between Arkansas and the University of Kentucky was sent into overtime when UK hit a three-pointer to tie the game with seconds left in the fourth quarter. The teams remained tied with each team scoring 11 until with only fractions of a second remaining, Michael Qualls had a put back dunk off of his teammate's missed three-point attempt. The game was a close game all the way through, with UK winning at halftime by only 2.
